The Juvenile Officer position was created in response to growing concern for the youth in the community.
Promulgated by the Town Meeting, the Juvenile Officer will deal with delinquency problems, liaison with the
School Resource Officer, and establish close working relationships with community leaders, referral agencies
(such as child protection, Missing and Exploited Children, and Juvenile Intake.
Detective Christopher Cyr has been assigned to this position. Prior to his assignment to the Juvenile Officer position, Officer
Cyr was assigned to the Patrol Division and was a member of the Mountain Bike Patrol.
Detective Cyr enjoys cycling, hockey, skiing, and hiking. He is married and has 2 children.
Detective Cyr works Monday through Friday and is assigned to the Criminal Investigation Division.
