Import
- Items brought from another country because your country cannot produce the item or it is cheaper somewhere else


Export - Items sent to another country


Specialization - when a country gets very good at producing a few itemsTariffs - a tax on imports for one of two reasons


a)lower the amount of imports
b)raise money

Quotas - setting a maximum amount of imports from a certain country


Currency - exchange rates varies all the time


If U.S. Dollar is strong - imports cost less
If U.S. Dollar is weak - imports cost more
